STEELHEAD: Fourteen year old Jimmy Groves of Feasterville, Pa brought in a 10 pound 4 ounce Steelhead. It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 18 inches. He caught it fishing into the lake from the beach at Walnut Creek. He was using Power bait. Color was Corn (Yellow). WALNUT CREEK: The creek as of this writing is high and a good color. All the rain we have had this week brought it up which we really needed. The fishermen and women are catching fish too. It has been a very slow week. MARINA: The Marina Basin will be open for fishing on Wednesday, November 7, at 1 PM. THE STORM: We didn’t have much of a problem with Hurricane Sandy. The governor wanted all State offices closed so Law enforcement closed the gates on Monday at 4 PM on the 29th of October. We were open again on Wednesday morning October 31. I checked the lake shore around the property here at Walnut Creek and there was no damage at all. We didn’t even have the debris that usually comes with big waves. |
