WALLEYE:

Twelve year old James Lindow Jr. of Bridgeville, PA brought in a 7 pound 11 ½ ounce Walleye while he was out Perching. It was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches. He caught it on a minnow.

The Walleye fishing has really slowed down to almost a standstill. Every now and then you hear of someone getting one but not too often.

The Perch are getting finicky also. They seem to have their time to feed and it isn’t a lot. Some of the fishermen are getting their limits but they are out there for a few hours to get them. From what some people tell me they think there is so much bait fish out there they are filling up on it.

I have some guys picking up a Steelhead or two out in the trenches while fishing for Walleye. They seem to think it might be a good year this year for Steelhead fishing.

WEATHER:

This weekend the weather is going to get nasty. A regular fall weekend I guess. It is supposed to have Thunderstorms starting Friday night and continuing until Monday. The winds and waves on the lake for Friday are South at 2 ft or less and the winds and waves for Saturday and Sunday are Northwest at 2-4 ft.

WALNUT CREEK MARINA BUILDING:

The hours of operation for Walnut Creek Administration Building and restrooms:

Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15 - 7:00 am until 5:30 pm only. We will resume our regular hours the next weekend. There are Porta-Jons for your convenience if needed.
