WALLEYE:

Thirteen year old Connor Pritts of Latrobe, PA came in with 6 pound 13 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 27 ¼ inches long and had a girth of 15 inches. He caught it out in 60 ft of water straight off the Clay Banks or Trout Run. He was using a Copper/Watermelon harness.

Sixteen year old Steven Pritts brought in his 9 pound 5 ½ ounce Walleye. It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 16 ¾ inches. He was in the 60 ft of water off Trout Run also when he caught his. His was on a Green Emily harness.

Thirteen year old Cameron Martin of Kittanning, PA caught a 10 pound 6 ½ ounce fish. It was 32 inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. He was in 70 ft of water off Elk Creek when he caught his using a Plug, White with Black spots.

Fourteen year old Cole Gorgacz and fourteen year old Logan Schuller both of New Castle, PA brought in their Angler Award fish. Cole’s was 7 pounds 12 ½ ounces, 28 ½ inches long with a girth of 15 ¾ inches.

Logan’s was 8 pounds 2 ounces, 29 ¼ inches long with a girth of 16 inches. They both were out in 52 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek. Both were caught on Green/Orange Renowski’s.

The Walleye are being caught left and right. They are out in deep water and close to shore. They are picking up little ones in the 12 – 15 inch range and putting them back and also getting the keepers the ones bigger than 15 inches. Most of them are getting caught straight out of Walnut on the south side of the first trench. I have had quite a few limits coming in.

The fishing Saturday wasn’t as good as Friday but most of the boats were still coming back in by noon with their limits.

PERCH:

Eight year old Mackendra Fedei of Fairview, PA brought in a 13 ounce Perch for Angler Award. It was 12 inches long and had a girth of 8 ½ inches. She was out in 52 ft of water off Walnut Creek on Emerald shiners.

Mackendra’s cousin fourteen year old Courtney Fedei of Fairview, Pa brought in a 12 ounce Perch. It was 11 ¾ inches long and 8 ¼ inches in girth. She was out in the same 52 ft of water off Walnut Creek. She also was using Emerald shiners.

The Perch are still out in the 50 ft of water range straight out of here and off Trout Run. I was told by most people to find the Perch pack and go either West or East about ½ mile or so. They seem to do better away from the pack.
