FRESHWATER DRUM (SHEEPSHEAD):

Eight year old Michael (Mikey) Doerflinger, of Slippery Rock, PA brought in a Sheepshead for ANgler Award. It weighed 7 pounds 12 ¾ ounces, was 26 inches long, and had a girth of 18 ¾ inches. He caught it out in 30 ft of water off Trout Run on a “Goby Gulp”.

WALLEYE:

Michael Schmitt of Harmony, PA brought in an 8 pound 14 ½ ounce Walleye. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 18 inches. He caught it out in 65 ft of water off Elk Creek on a worm harness. His color was purple.

YELLOW PERCH:

James O’neil of Kennerdell, PA is going to be 73 years young tomorrow. He brought in this Perch for an Angler Award. It was 1 pound 8 ounces, 13 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 11 inches. He caught it in 62 ft of water straight off Elk Creek on an Emerald Shiner.

WEATHER:

The weather for the next couple days 8/8 thru 8/10 is:
Friday: NW winds – 10-20 knots – 2-4 ft waves.
Saturday: NW winds – 5-15 knots – 1-3 ft waves.
Sunday: W winds – 5-15 knots – 1-3 ft waves.

WALNUT CREEK MARINA:

Do to some vandalism in the rest rooms, the outside restroom doors are kept closed. Please use the lobby doors when the office building is open. There are Porta-Johns available for your convenience if you need to use the rest rooms when the building is not open between shifts. There are two at the top of the Launch ramp and two in the grove of trees off to the South side of the marina.

Also, do to the increase in the cost of Ice; we had to increase our price. Ice can now be bought for $1.60 for a seven pound bag here at the office.
