WALLEYE:

Ten year old Scotty, seven year old Joe and fourteen year old Tony Wyland with dad in the background brought in a couple of their catch. Joe brought his Walleye in for Angler Award at 10 pounds 10 ounces. It was 31 ½ inches long and had a girth of 18 inches. He caught it out in 72 ft of water West of Walnut Creek on a worm harness. His color was lemon / lime.

Chris Devore of Cambridge Springs, PA brought in a 9 pound 2 ounce Walleye and received an Angler Award for it. It was 30 ¼ inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches. He caught it out in 74 ft of water straight off Elk Creek on a worm harness. The color was Watermelon.

Thomas McNally of North Hills, Hampton, PA came in with this nice 9 pound Walleye. It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught it in 75 ft of water West of Trout Run on a worm harness. The color was Watermelon / Copper.

So far everyone seems to be having a lot of luck getting the Walleye in close and out deep. Anywhere from 25-40 near shore and 50-75 out deeper. Mostly on worm harnesses with different colors as you can see.

PERCH:

I have no pictures of Perch but I do know they are getting them. No one wants their picture though. Most are being caught in 55-60 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek and the same for off of Trout Run.

DREDGING:

The dredging is done. The lowest spot at the mouth of Walnut Creek is 5 feet according to the dredging crew.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be pretty nice. The waves are supposed to be 1-3 ft on Saturday and 2 ft or less on Sunday. But we all know that can change, so if need be you can call our office here at Walnut Creek for the weather and lake conditions during office hours. The number is 814-833-2464.

RESTROOMS:

Because of vandalism, the restrooms are not open from the outside anymore nor after office hours. The restrooms can be entered through the lobby doors when the office building is open. (The days and times are listed on signs in the windows). Any other time there are Porta-Johns available for your convenience placed around the marina property.
