PERCH:

Captain Dave Sandiff of the Leeki Teeki along with Bob Mingoy, and Gil Lewis of Erie came in with their limit of Perch. They brought in a couple for Angler Award. Bob caught a 1 pound 5 ½ ounce one that was 14 inches long and had a girth of 10 inches. Captain Dave’s was 1 pound 5 ounces, 13 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 9 ¾ inches. Gil’s didn’t quite make it for Angler Award but it was 1 pound. The big one was caught in 48 ft of water and the smaller one was caught in 42 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on Emerald Shiners.

Thirteen year old Blake Parmerter of Millcreek caught a 1 pound 5 ounce Perch. It was 13 ½ inches long and had a 10 inch girth. He caught it on a minnow in 53 ft of water off the “Point”.

WALLEYE:

Joseph Boggio of Latrobe, PA brought in this Award sized Walleye. It was 8 pound 5 ½ ounces, was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 ¾ inches. He caught it in 56 ft of water straight North of Walnut Creek on a worm harness. His color was purple.

Brad Parmerter of Millcreek caught this 10 pound 5 ounce Walleye. It was 33 ½ inches long and had a 17 inch girth. He caught his on a minnow while Perching in 53 ft of water with this son (see above) off the “Point.

Ernie Larch of Greensburg brought in a 10 pound 6 ounce, 31 ¼ inch Walleye with a 17 ¾ inch girth for Angler Award. He caught it in 65 ft of water straight North of Walnut Creek on a crawler harness using Blueberry muffin.

Scott Waltz of Slippery Rock brought in a 9 pound 12 ounce Walleye. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 18 ½ inches. He caught it in 55 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on a Monkey Puke spoon.

The fishing has been great for this week. All week long the water has been less than 2 ft and the weather has been unbelievably warm. The Perch seem to be in 42-47 ft of water and also in 50-55 ft of water. The Walleye are mostly South of the first Trench but boaters are catching them just about everywhere. These are just some of the people who caught Citation sized fish for Angler Awards.
