BOATERS WARNING:

There is a sand bar at the mouth of the channel. Here are a couple pictures to show you how bad it is.

WALNUT CREEK:

The creek is low and clear this week because we have had little rain. It has just drizzled most of the time but not enough to bring in a lot of water. The marina has a lot of fish in it since they don't seem to be able to move to far up with the water level so low. Hopefully if we get rain this weekend it will help.


STEEL HEAD:

Thirteen year old Brandon Jackson of Clairton brought this 9lb 4oz male in for Angler award. He caught it on salmon eggs.

John Hela Jr. of Perryopolis caught this 11lb 3oz nice looking male. He caught it on a single egg.

Al Powell of Elrama caught this 10lb 4oz male at Walnut. He caught it on gold power bait.
