The visibility today the 18th of June was very little. We had so much fog that the visibility was only about 100 ft. The channel was fogged in and the boaters said they couldn't see it until they were about 30 ft from the entrance.

The lake did a flip-flop last weekend and that disturbed the fishing. The fish were out deeper than they are now. The water temp went from 67 degrees to 54 degrees over night.

Perch: are out in 37'-50' of water. Boaters are starting to pick them up straight out and going west from Trout Run to Godfrey.

Joe Woycheck and his brother went straight out of Walnut and came back in with this limit of perch.

Ralph (SEADADOR) got a cooler full of nice sized fish.

This young man, 13 year old Marc Knapp caught a nice citation sized 1½ pound - 14¾" perch. He said he got a lot of big ones similar to this one.

Walleye: are in 25-50' of water. Caught trolling with worm harnesses from Walnut Creek down to Elk Creek. They are really scattered after that drop in water temp.

Here is Ray Stainbrook with two walleye.

Bob (Sidewinder) with two Walleye they caught. They were not really huge but they were the right size for good eaten about 22-28 inches.

We are going to be getting a new display here at Walnut Creek in the lobby. So if you come in and wonder where the fish display is, it is going to Harrisburg to get touched up and put on new mounts. Then new display cases are going to be put in. I will let everyone know when the new ones will be put in.

WARNING: On the south side of the launch ramp please be careful. There the ground is hollowed from a beaver. Please watch where it is marked.
