The construction is on-going on the South parking lot. Boaters are asked to use the East lot and if you can find a place to park in the South lot until it is done. Please be careful not to block in trailers. The construction is to be mainly done by the end of June. They are making bigger parking spaces to handle the bigger boat trailers and also putting in 17 lights. All islands will come out except for the one next to the exit road. Fishing report is not too good. The weather has not been cooperating with the fishermen and women. Some Perch are being picked up straight out of Walnut but you really have to work for them. They are in anywhere from 44' to 55' of water. They were doing pretty good out from the lighthouse too in 45'-55' of water. A few Walleye have been caught near shore but no limits have been reported. Water temperature is 60 degrees right now. Hopefully with the 70 degree temps we are to have next week it will help. |
