Over the past four days the western basin has experienced southern high winds which has pulled water out of the marinas and created tough water conditions with SCA's. The good news is that with the south winds the water clarity is still in good condition. It should take until mid-week to pick up on the great fall fishing for perch and walleye. Those areas that have produced both perch and walleye around the island area (see my previous report), should get hot for the end of the week and weekend. The shinners are still in good supply for perch and if you're looking for bass minnows I suggest calling a local bait shop prior to your trip. Alot of charters are starting to pull their boats for the season, in fact we will be done after next weekend. I will continue to report the fishing for late fall, including the great ice fishing off the shoreline. In fact I will be running ice charters as soon as we have safe ice; e-mail me at mrbass@lakeeriefishing911.com for further details, availablities, and rates. Remember, we still have alot of good fishing left this fall as long as the weather is good.
Good fishin
