The Maumee River has cooled off quite a bit in the past 7-10 days after the heavier rain we had. Temps have been in the 30's and low 40's lately with cold evenings.

Water temp plays a large roll in how many fish are in the river and how well these fish are biting. The warm rain brings these fish into our river system from Lake Erie.

Fishing is progressing as expected, with a steady pick of fish being taken in the last 6 days. Water temp is down and clearing. Put in your hours on the river and you will catch fish. It may not be hot hot action, but there are certainly many catchable fish ready and waiting.
