Unseasonably warm weather last week provided some good walleye fishing for trollers on Lake Erie. Fish were caught around the outer buoys of the Camp Perry firing range on Reef Runners and Rapala deep husky jerks. Recent winter weather has at least temporarily limited fishing opportunities on the open water (as of 2/8/12). The water temperature is 37 degrees off of Toledo and 34 degrees off of Cleveland according to the nearshore marine forecast.
