*Lake Erie surface temperatures are between 32 and 36 degrees. Be sure to
check the latest marine forecast for up-to-date lake conditions.*

Shallow waters have started freezing, but there is not yet any safe main-lake ice

Steelhead:

Lake Erie tributary levels are returning to normal and although flows are
still fairly high they are beginning to drop. Clarity should begin to
improve without more rain. When targeting steelhead, spawn sacks or jig and
maggots work best although fly anglers will also catch fish on sucker spawn,
wooly buggers, and other choices. Check with local bait shops for
up-to-date river conditions.
